I just got my power steering hose replaced for the second time.. And now I have another problem coolant is dropping from the dash and at night the car gets really foggy inside i don't know if it would have to do anything with the coolant leak or it's something else.. I turn my heater on and it doesn't help the fog it makes it worse.. I'm thinking something to do with my heater core malfunctioning? But why is coolant involved :(

    your heater core is leaking.

you are going to have to get a hose to bypass the heater core and cut off the 2 hoses that go through the firewall from the back of the engine into the heater core.

it's a common issue. just a pain in the ass to replace.

don't use the heater at all.
if you look underyour dash, you will have two detachable black plastic ducts running into each foot well. if you take them off you will see one central duct which will be full of radiator fluid.

until you bypass you can try and cut the water off which is leaking into there by using plastic and ties or fill that duct with some towels to collect the water, and replace them every few days when they fill up before they leak more fluid.

if its not a big leak you can get away with just putting some dishwashing sponges in there to collect the small bit of leakage that will be occuring.

but get that heatercore bypasses asap. grab someone in your area to help you who knows what they are doing.

    Edit:

once the leak it shut off. lift up the carpet in each foot well and the underfelt to make sure there is no water sitting under it ontop of the floor pan. if its wet, dry it out and throw some towels down to get as much moisture out as possible. also check it's not leaking onto your ecu which is in the passenger footwell. make sure that is all dry or you might be up for replacing that also if it shorts out.

then, enjoy the next few months driving around during winter without any heating :)

looks like you're due for a heater core and tap replacement. Coolant is involved as your heater system uses the car cooling system (coolant) to circulate thru and heat the heater core.

As a temporary fix, you can loop the hardpipes at the rear of the engine, essentially bypassing the in-cabin heater core. Do a search on "heater core bypass" in the tech section for more details. From memory, a heater hose from some model Ford can be utilised for the bypass, until you have such time, and motivation, you replace the heater core assembly (usually a dash-out job)

It can be a problem, the hole in the core lets air into the coolant system which allows steam to form. Steam has almost no function a a coolant so you can get hot spots in the engine resulting in a blown head gasket. In this weather you'll probably be ok for a little while but don't ignore it for long

I realize that asking this question is going to have mixed reactions, however,
WHY would you fail to associate Coolant with Heater/Heater Core?
Exactly what do you assume provides 'Heat' for the successful operation of your Heater?(and how does it get colder with A/Con on, when there is no Ice to be found anywhere in the vehicle?).
PS. The Ford hose being mentioned as a "Fix" is from an EA Ford Falcon and is mentioned in the Technical Section/Search.

    not to confuse the matter,
but I thought it was a mitsubishi hose used for the bypass?

no its an ea falcon hose used. waynoz you can use a Mitsubishi mirage heater core that's probably where you get Mitsubishi
