    I think thats your problem.
I have not been able to get it working on Win7. Works well on XP.
Not sure if there's a newer version that works with win 7.

where did you download it from? was it http://www.conzult.com/

I know quite a few guys over in the UK that are running it fine on windows 7.

this is what one of the guys from the NL (DTA) conzult said:

Conzult software works fine on windows 7 (x64/x32), usually the problem is caused by the (driver for) cable.
Older type laptops with a genuine RS232 port work best, although if you need a USB type cable/converter, best is to choose one that has a FTDI chipset.
The cheaper (ebay/chinese) cables/converters mostly use other chipsets and can have all sorts of weird problems or don't work at all.

test your cable with ecutalk first. check COM port assigned to it in device manager, ports section, and select that port from ecutalk dropdown while connected to car and car running, and verify it works fine.

that will rule out whether its an issue with you getting the drivers etc installed (if needed - is it usb or serial?) versus software not working.

In your BIOS, make sure you have a/any com ports activated.

Try plugging the computer in to the car, then try loading conzult.

Might sound daft but I know that was the only way we found to get it working on a friends computer
