    Hi all,
    When down to Willowbank for a tyre flog session last night expecting the air temp to be cold at Ipswich - but to my dissapointment was a 24 degrees ambient. Tyres hooked up OK and managed 3 runs at 14.683, 14.687 14.689. After running that consistent I decided to go home - would be flogging a dead horse anyway at that temperature. Anyway should silence a few critics that NA zeds are slow and if launched correctly will rape quite a few oponents to around the 200 meter mark where turbos kick in. It would be great to get some NA guys down the strip, especially you VIC and NSW guys where the temps are much cooler than up here - someones got to break 14.5 (street tyres) and its probably not going to be me in this queensland heat so come on!
    Rock on NAs

    Nice nice

    Not a bad run for an NA vehicle.I've got a TT, Love to know how it runs down the strip.Do you ever cruise down to the GC?I hardly ever see a 300zx hooking around, these days i see a couple but i am interested in meeting up with a couple of z's and cruising them through the streets of surfers one night, Just to show off a bit.:YD

    I would have thought it would

    take a lot longer for the turbos to kick in on a NA8-}

    Nice times :YD

    Would love to run times like that in my slow, heavy 2+2 auto =) I'm working on it (16.2 is not a good start, but that was done with an unhappy engine and gearbox, so should easily knock 0.5 secs off next time :YD )Cheers

    Oh sorry....

    I should have said correctly - The opponents (as in other people out there with turbo cars ie skylines, 180s etc) turbos assist their cars to pull away from me at the 200 meter mark. I'm sorry that I couldn't make it any clearer, I'll try harder next time dude to stop any confusion.
    Rock on.

    Thanx dudes...

    for the support, hope to see you all at the next track day/drags.
    Mathius - your zed is gonna kick ass after a full rebuild and 12 degree temps, drop tyre pressure to 22 PSI and hello 14s. Looking forward to the results dude.
    Hey lazyzed, don't forget to dial in a heap of timing before you get your SAFC II setup again - it will give you a lot more bottom end, and I found an Air/Fuel ratio of a flat 12.8 was best for me. Make sure they give you the Air/fuel graph on the dyno printout as some mechanics won't because they think someone will steal their tuning ideas. You will easily be into the mid to high 15s once setup right. Hey fate, we will have to hook up for a Sat night cruise - I can organise a nice group of around 5 zeds that would be up for it sometime. Anymore than that and we would attract too much attention down there. Or you can come to the next track day with us and mix it up with the king - JT.
    Fleet luig and JT, will be swapping paint with you guys soon - July 17th I think.
    Till then Rock on.
