    Hey guys,

I have around $1100 to spend on a set of coilovers and was tossing up between BC Racing and Powertrix. Does anyone know of any major differences between them both and perhaps which path i should take? I am also open to other ideas in this price range if someone can highly recommend an alternative.

They will mostly be used for a bit of aggressive street driving and probably wont face a track day as my 2+2 TT is my daily however it's not off the cards. I am not too concerned with comfort either as I still pretty young and can deal with it, however i've heard to keep spring rates around 7k/5k as can be very uncomfortable above that. I also only intend to lower the car to the legal height of 100mm all round. Any advice is appreciated. :)

Had a set of powertrix previous to my current coilovers, no dramas with them. Wouldn't touch BC personally.

What bRACKET said. I bought his Powertrix coilovers and are happy with them. For the price range they're pretty good; when you're spending so little on coilover suspension you can only get so much.

    Thanks for the advice guys,
just out of curiosity - what spring rates did you both have and were they the SS or RT model?

I've had powertrix and they were good enough. Also got a few friends with bc's in their imports and they have nothing bad to say about them. Build quality of the bc's isn't too shabby.

    Thanks for the advice ryzan.
Do you all think the SS will be suffice or is it worth saving that bit more to get the RT's?

    Go the RT's IMO

RT is a nice product. For the small amount extra that's the money taker.
