    Hi All,

Recently noticed some clutch slip in my N/A 5spd when I put the lead foot down in 2nd and 3rd, and its definately on its way out. Would I be best to get a rebuild (reconditioning) or get a brand new clutch stock clutch put in?

My zed is a daily driver so no need for any fancy heavy duty clutches and I would like to keep costs down if possible.

Also, for the West Aussie's here whereabouts have you have your clutch work done and how much should I expect to pay?

    Cheers

if you're a leadfoot, go the extra and get a heavy duty clutch, theres not a huge difference between some of them and the stock clutch

get a cushion button heavy duty exedy clutch, not sure what ratings they are made for the zed, I had a 2600lb one in my daily drive lancer and it was fairly easy on the leg compared to a brass button, worked great too, handled almost 200kw atw for about 3 years no probs

Xtreme clutches - not the cheapest, but great product.

Worth at least the cost of a phone call to get a price.

Can you get these Caz? Been waiting for 2 weeks for UAS to come thru - if they don't hurry up I'll pull the pin...

Any idea on timeframe to get a Cushion Button to me?

Go the Exedy H/D I got one about 20,000k's ago, love it!! :zlove:

What do you mean by rebuild? New friction disc and that's it? For the extra coupla hundred you might as well do it right the first time.

Another bonus is the Exedy's all come in HOT PINK Really pulls the girls when they you know you got a pink clutch ;) :D

all i know is brass button is hard to use, cushion button is easier but still fairly resistant, heavy duty is for more power. someone will be able to give a detailed explanation
