    hey Everyone

Was driving yesterday, an the clutch lost all resistance instantly, as in the clutch pedal just moves back and forward easily without any resistance. Has to get a tow as unable to put it back in gear.

im assuming its not the clutch, as Ive blown a clutch before, and from just looking in engine bay, all oil/fluid, measures are full, so im gna pop it up on blocks today, and have a look, but what do you think it sounds like has happened? What should i be looking at?

    Thanks in advance :)

Flexible hose has busted, or you have snapped the fork pivot ball and the slave piston has come out.

Are these a big fix? and should i be able to see from the underside of the car?

Should be easy enough to work out. Find where the fluid is leaking from.

Also have a swing on the clutch fork, if it moves around heaps then you probably have a snapped pivot. That's a gearbox off job to fix. Bastard of a thing.

Clutch slave cylinder is my guess.

This exact same symptom happened to me twice before in the same car being a Gazelle or S12. (I keep my cars for a long time) where the clutch pedal goes dead and no mater how many times you pump it, the clutch does not engage. Both times it was the clutch slave cylinder. Either put in a rebuild kit or buy a new one. The rubber seals inside let go with time due to crap build-up in the system. Basically deterioration of the seals themselves. Eventually they just give up pushing fluid around.

Also a good time to do a thorough clutch fluid flush.

    My 2c worth.

if your running a heavy clutch could also be a snapped clutch fork/pivot, the fork is only pressed steel and dont like the extra load......

I'd guess pivot ball sheared off. I managed to do it with a stock na clutch so it can happen to anyone.
