Hey guys, i have a few questions on the rough longevity that i could expect from my standard clutch.. I have had it in for about 60,000km and don't seem to be having any problems with it... The reason i ask this is because i let a mate take my car for a drive and to my shock he wasn't very good at driving manual.. He decided to take of fast and revved the engine to about 6,000 then dropped the clutch which left an awful and painful stench of the clutch after about 30 seconds.. Your help with this would be greast guys.. If it helps i have a N/A..
Depends entirely on how you treat it. 60K on the highway is very different to 60k in the city. The less starts the longer it lives The less you slip it the longer it lives
Castrate you so called "friend" right now. Anyone that treats somones elses car like that is a wizzend gonad excuse for a "friend". Any clutch will last if it is treated the way it was designed to be used. Your friend obviously has %^&*( envy issues, next time let him abuse himself and not your car eh
If it gets treated like that regularly it isn't going to last long, it can be adjusted under the drivers side dash at the top of the pedal arm, a good bit of advice is not to let "mates" that don't know how to, drive a performance sports car.
