    Hi guys,
Clutch fluid in zed is very dark, so i m thinking of replacing it.

Which brand clutch fluid to use for zed??
And whats the best way to DIY changing clutch fluid??

    Thanks in advance.

    I use Motul RBF600.....

it's very expensive and probably overkill, but you don't change fluid that often so price is not really relevant. Any reputable name brand fluid will do the job for the clutch (brakes are a different story), and the only effective way to change your clutch fluid is by bleeding the entire system.

    Yes

but like I said earlier 'you can use just about anything in the clutch but you'll want top quality for the brakes'

I used the repco brake fluid, was .4 or .5 cant remember. $6 and more than enough to bleed and fully fill. :)

Most effective bleeding point is on the Clutch Slave Cylinder, which is located on the Drivers side of the Gearbox.

Service manual is in the tech section. Just use the cheapest brake fluid you can get, they're all made to standards and will all do the same job.

    Another question in my mind:
Is the brake fluid master cylinder somehow connected to clutch master cylinder?
Will the fluid level decline in brake master cylinder when i change my clutch fluid??

Thanks guys for your help so far.

No, why would they be connected. It would pose a safety risk. If one system had a leak then you would lose clutch and braking rather than one or the other.

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Ax an aside to this, many years ago, my mothers old Mazda 929 had a leaking slave cyl and it presendted itself one morning with a pedal to the floor.

Just to get her going, I filled the MC up with old used multigrade engine oil with the full intention of reco-ing both master and slave cylinder on the weekend. Dindt even bleed it. Just the old fashioned jigggling of the pedal and shoving the slave piston fully back into the cylinder to encourage the air out into the reservior and enough pedal to get her to work and home!

That slave stopped leaking after a couple of days and that car continued on for over 10 years with that old black engine oil in there........

A few cars share it. My Evo 7 uses the one reservoir for the clutch and brake fluid.
