Climate control device

    Hey guys, just want to change my manual climate control device with the one that have the screen. Seems to be the same from the outside but not sure if wiring is different. has anyone done this B4???

    you're going to have to add the temperature sensors to your interior too. one's in behind the courtesy light, the other is in the dash near the windscreen iirc. even then you'll have to ensure that the looms are compatible, ie one interior loom was fitted that works on manual and automatic climate control systems... most likely they're different looms though

    sure you could make it work and would be a very interesting project. if you go ahead be sure to take pix and report on your results.

    ps occasionally ppl do have issues with the auto climate control system malfunctioning, but the manual system seems to be bullet proof, except that the rotary knob and switches on the pod can wear out and are easy to replace...

    I vaguely looked into this a few years ago, it's a much larger job than you might think. There are a lot of extra sensors (at least 5) and different controllers required. I was trying to go the other way though...
