Would the improvement with CES style dumps over the split style be noticable when driving? Is it worth spending the extra money on CES dumps? Anyone ever had both???

    Thanks

Yep CES have a completely separate wastegate pipe

That is much longer than the other "split" style. Accordingly performance will be improved. There was a really good tech article in Zoom about this and it pretty much stated that the majority of aftermarket "split" systems offered no benefit over a single pipe as the split section was not long enough.

I haven't had both and i didn't go the CES pipes due to the price -I couldn't justify twice the price for the couple of Kw difference. If you've got the $$ they are the best dump out there but go 2.5" rather than 3" as the 3" pipes have clearance problems (advice from Trevor at CES) on lowered cars.

I got the regular split dumps and the power increase was noticeable.

The front piping remained same diametre (only upgraded to SS) and cats are same, so everything else stayed the same.

I doubt it increased peak power or anything, but the boost came on much quicker and stronger once the dumps were fitted.

So there is definitely, in my experience, a difference between these ones with the short split section and the stock item (which you can see is crap just by looking, IMO), but as for the comparison between this and one of the longer ones, I have no idea.

    To clarify

By single pipe i don't mean your stock system, I mean a pipe like split pipes without the split. Yeah.

Here's a pic of the CES ones

Much longer pipe compared to the ones

    HERE for example

    they dont look much different

to the tune agent split dumps, and for that price, they
would want to make a big difference, $500 for T/Agent
dumps and test pipe, in S/S G/B not so long ago.

I have the CES dumps but haven't noticed any performance increase

but that could be because they are sitting in my lounge room rather than on the car. :)

Thanks for the info, I may look into what to purchase a little more. Can yo

u put extractors in place of the stock exhaust manifold? I mean seperate pipes all going into 1 at the turbo which I have seen on a few ZX's in articles etc. Why don't many places sell a style like that for z32s and just make replicas of the stock ones but in a different material?
