if you're logging then it will use the min gauge refresh time to limit how often gauges are drawn (in order to give users ability to adjust how much is logged vs gauges updated) ecutalk->options->other->minimum gauge refresh it defaults to 100ms (10 times/second) but change it to 0 and it will update as often as it can.
