I use them on both my cars. The material is soft so these's no scratching. Don't get the inside dirty and you'll be rite.
You have to pay for a good one though. Make sure it's water resistant and protects from UV.
So long as you get the rite size they fit like a glove. small/medium/large. I got a large one for my Z but it's a bit too big, Go the medium I think.
There's plenty to choose from but price will guide you to the quality ones.
$100 will cover it, sorry, no pun intended!

Supercheap autos. They're the beige ones. I just looked and there's no brand on them?
I'm happy that I use them. Offers a lot of protection.

remember to size it to the zed for a good fit.

mines a grey soft one, full water proof and hail proof (thick enough to take the force of most average hail)

    pretty sweet, money well spent

I got one of them Kenco tyvek covers...very thin and light, no protection from hailstorms, but seems to keep dust and water out very effectively. My paint's pretty crap so I don't know how much/little it scratches.
Have it in large size because medium was too small with my "hectic wing". Without a wing I think a medium will fit.

I have a Kenco Tyvek that I bought for when the car was living at the shop.

Online pricing seems to be the best, I bought mine at auto one but I think even with a trade discount I would have been better off shopping online.

If you're interested make me an offer on the second hand item... it's hardly been used.

Looks pretty good for the price. Something else to consider is what you need it for. I was thinking about this myself after using a cover for my old Z. With a car that is used frequently, a heavy cover (ie hail protection) can be a bit of a PITA. The result being as you stop using it. The heavier covers are definitely better protection but more practical for longer parked times. I like to use the Z when ever possible but even with the old one found that I started taking the family car to the shop / to get the take away / pick up the wife....because it was too much hassle mucking around with getting the cover on and off. Then the car would get dirty after using it and I didn't want to get that dirt all over the lining for it to be rubbed into the paint from then on. So it would then sit without cover until I had the time to wash it again. In that time I at least would use the car more because I didn't have to deal with that dam cover!! So (I'm starting to digress), my point is now if I was to buy a cover it would be mainly for UV protection on those stinking hot sunny summer days when the heat would be unbearable if I didn't use one.

Thanks Rob! .......will keep it in mind!
Think I'd prefer something like a hail cover though after my recent experience with my NA Z when Melbourne had that freak storm! :(

So hopefully Chad might have discovered something decent in his search?? ;)

Also, wet car covers are no fun, having some idea of how you are going to dry it out if you take the cover off while it's wet might be a good idea too, putting it back on wet is a miserable experience.

i didnt actually find one locally but one overseas that would be around $150 delivered. looked great and was weather proof i.e hail etc. i never purchased it though as i hadnt made my mind up if i wanted to purchase from o/seas on ebay. if we can find one in aust delivered about 100-150 with hail storm protection i will purchase it.

personally i only want to use it in those hail days, and on very hot summer days.

    use a sheet

chad put a large cotton sheet like you have on your bed over the car. put your windows down, tuck the sheet into the windows and wind them up, that keeps the sheet in place when you cover the car with your car cover. helps with scratching and dust that covers can gather over a period of time. works well for me.cheers bigmax.
