Cable run for heater core tap

    Hi all,
I've just installed a complete new heater core assembly and noticed the cable for the tap runs hard up against the pipes as it disappears from view and goes past the lug where 'that' screw holds the two pipes through the firewall.

Not sure it will matter cos 'that' screw will not be going back in, but should the cable run above or below the lug. It's sitting below at the moment and looks like it would interfere with the pipes lining up for the screw to go back in.

If its not a concern I'll leave it, but I didn't want there to be excess load on the cable affecting its operation.

Hope thats clear, and thanks in advance.

    Cheers, Andy.

    Two questions,
1: Is the Tap Cable currently connected to the Heater Tap?
2: Is the Heater Tap opening and closing as intended?

If the answer to both questions is in the affirmative, then you have no problems with it in this position.:zlove:

    Thanks Chili,

To the first question, yes. Hooked the cable up to the tap before I screwed the pipe back on the heater core. A nice little brain teaser getting that right !

As to whether it moves, I'll probably only know once the aircon module is back in and I can dial in a warm setting. Might plug it in temporarily to see before putting everything else back.

Not the worst job I've done on a car, managed it with the dash in, But I ain't doin another one.

    Cheers.

You get top points for doing this with the Dash in(not something that I would want to take on).:zlove::br:
