    Hi Everyone...

Just having a discussion with my girlfriend, and thought I'd ask on here as some questions have been raised...

Both her brother and Burson's told her that Bendix Ultimates tend to wear your discs/rotors faster than other types. However, I seem to recall reading in a Bendix brochure that the Ultimates were designed to wear away a bit quicker so as not to damage the rotors as much.

I know it's a fairly general question, but I'm curious now to see what everyone else thinks. :) :zlove:

The Ultimates are a harder compound

The harder the compound the more wear on the rotor. How fast the actual material wears off the pad generally isn't of much consequence as to how fast the rotors wear. In my experience the pads that wear faster are usually the harder compound ones, and they chew the rotors like crazy.

Personally, I'd rather replace my rotors more frequently than have pads that I can't actually stop with.
