I need a new master cylinder for my '90 TT. Will this part fit? http://www.conceptzperformance.com/..._Type=NIS300&UID=20080324175609202.167.15.161 Will there be any problems fitting it on a RHD car? It looks different. Cheers, Dave.
cypher had my master and slave rebuilt locally. cost bugger all aswell. give em a call tell them simmo the zed guy sent you
master rebuild is $250-$300 so its not too cheap. Coz could order you a RHD master if you give him the part number.
I don't know where you go to have your brakes rebuilt, but that is several times what I paid for the 280's master cyl. It all depends on how good the bore is. If it is fine, just have it cleaned up, reamed and new seals. If it's bad, get one from the wreckers and do the same. Re-sleaving the brake master in the old Jag MK2 would have cost close to that though.
Also be aware that the zed came with a number of different MC's. Grab the number and the brand (ie tokico) off the side before you go hunting. Also be aware that one of the MC's they used on our cars can't be rebuilt. I have a feeling it's the one with the extra hole on the brake line side.
You are exactly right. That includes resleaving. Last week, I had a crook one in Sammy's car. It was rooted. He couldnt afford a rebuild as the bore was buggered. I ended up getting a second hand one with stuffed seals and bought a seal kit for $60. 20 mins and all was good. I have already send Curnz details on this via PM. You have to look at worst case here for rebuild. Nissan want $800 for a new one. LMFAO
