    Hi All,

Does anyone know of a good and reliable retailer in Japan that can supply OEM Brake Master Cylinder. I have tried Concept Z but they only have Left Hand Drive versions.

I want a brand new unit as I have been unlucky with master cylinder being relapced with exchange unit 4 years ago with hardly any Kms since then.

Car is on the hoist at mechanics and existing unit cannot be rebuilt!

    Urgent advice needed
    Cheers

Have your BMC rebuilt with new SS sleeve. Most shops can do same day service, not exchange.

I've run into this headache too.

I decided to go ahead and buy the LHD version to see if it was possible at all to install it.

I believe it is, but it needs a bit of work...

This was a 5 minute test fit. Theres 2 ports on this thing, the first I can very easily make up a pipe to suit, the second is the headache, but I think its possible...

1st Shot (Headache): Pick the right 'nut fitting' and bend the pipe correctly and I believe it can work. The pipe connected in this shot is the original pipe, but I bent it a few mm (2mm at most) out more by hand.

2nd Shot (Headache): BMC touches Strut Tower. Planning to put some rubber between the two, but once Headache Number three is solved, the BMC won't be moving at all.

3rd Shot (Headache): The Brake Brace needs to have a very small notch taken out of it to bolt on. But when this is on, this should solve the rubbing issue on the Strut Tower area.

And lastly, take a look at this vid to see the amount of flex without the Brake Brace (again, should be solved once Brace is fitted): http://youtu.be/PrUnjYZ3H3U (Watch it in HD and Fullscreen to notice it properly)

Now if I didn't have the Brace, no way would I do this, after seeing how much it can move while resting on the Strut Tower I wouldn't feel comfortable with this set up. With the Brace I think its possible.

Also planning on fitting a Strut Tower Brace at the end which will stiffen up the Strut Towers as well, so again, should be extremely minimal rubbing... with rubber in between. I'm happy with that.
