hi guys, i have finally located the rattle in my bonnet. i originally thought it was the passenger side hinge, however i have no discovered that it is coming from inside the bonnet itself near the passenger side hinge. if i flex the bonnet on the hinge it sounds like the inside of the bonnet is rattling. i have already checked and there is nothing inside the bonnet. anyone had a similar problem? it doesn't look like the bonnet can be taken apart so are there any other cheaper options other than a replacement one?

    cheers guys

With the bonnet off is there any chance off spraying some

sound deadening thru a hole near the offending rattle.
Maybe stand it on its end to get it running to where you want.

    what's this sound deadening stuff?

i have never heard of anything like that. how does it work? i should be able to reach the area where the noise is coming from with a spray can and a little extension.

    cheers mate

Sound deadening is like some spray on TAR

It puts a layer of compound that absorbs sound. Usually the bottom of the car is sprayed with the stuff to reduce road noise. You can buy it at repco, supercheap etc in spray cans. If you spray it in the right spot it may just stick to what ever is rattling around and hold it in place. Worth a try I guess.

    Cheers
