Apparently some time within the past 2-3 days my Zed was hit from behind, no note was left, nothing, and I've only just been alerted of it now.
Point of the thread is this; besides replacing the rear bar, are there any ways of removing the scrape marks, and is there a way to fix the dent above the rear bar without seeing a panel beater

    Any help is appreciated.

unfortunately not- scrape marks are through to the undercoat.
Dent being on the rear corner will require some professional massaging to remove.... then fill and paint

the scrape would be easy enough for a mobile paint guy to fix, and cheap. the dent under the light though.....gonna be a panle beater job to be done "properly"

with the way zed values are these days i think your cars a write off......(just kidding)

I'll look into that, thanks :)
The panel damage is what's worrying me haha, had to happen right before Schoolies, no funds

I've actually funnily enough repaired a red zed which had the same sort of damage on the same corner as yours. I fixed it at home and you couldn't tell it happened.

Without seeing your bar in real life, I could say that the scuff marks look to be transfer from the car that hit you. I wouldn't be surprised if you had some medium to fine grit wet and dry sand paper and lightly sanded the scuff, it may lift off. You'll need to cut and polish it again to restore the shine, but even if it reduced the damage by 80% it would look heaps better. Ideally it would need paint blown over it and cut/blended into the original paint.

Regarding the metal damage. You can access the area from in the boot. I used a variety of striking tools to push out the metal back to its near shape then bogged it smooth, primed, then painted it. Clear coat also. I cut/blended it into the existing paint and it blended very well. As your damage is in the corner, you could massage the corner edge out carefully at which will draw the majority of the buckled bit out. Try not to hit the buckled bit as it will stretch the steel the opposite way and will make a dogs breakfast out of it.

Point in key is ideally its a panel beaters job. Or if you were local I could fix it for you :) but either way, it sucks. And as you say just before you go away for your shenanigans.

    GL with sorting it out.

The plan of attack is to bite the bullet and get it repaired professionally, the guy who checked it out said that the bar will definitely need a respray, as well as the corner, which he mentioned in detail was the worst place to get hit. Extremely anxious to see how the paint will come up, I really don't want to be driving around with different shades of red over my car.
But thank you for the offer Sanouske, unfortunately I live in Melbourne.
