The Sydney Z Car Club had a the Nippy Leura Rally on the over the weekend. This was a navigation/touring style rally starting in Katoomba and heading out west to Bathurst and back with observation and nav sections over some fantastic roads.

Mostly mixed up of 240, 260z's and our lone Z32 Mary and I had a blast winning the touring section by one point and I think the local area knowlege helped us from getting lost unlike some crews who took a few extra turns and added km's to their total.

It was a blast heaps of fun and Mary and I are thinking of using some of these roads and the pub finish as a base for a Zed forum Observation Rally. But I will be redriving the raods as the Km's were out big time in places and the directions sometimes very bad.

We had a great time and the run was very well done by Richard Handley and Vince Harlour and finished at Leura Resort with a beer or 2 food and a band,

Has there been an observation run on the forum before? I think its a good idea.

I did one of these ages and ages ago for a local baseball club and it was a blast. I think a zx observation run would be great.
