I just had the 100k service done on my z by Tom (PZP) and it looks likely that I have a blown head gasket. Im getting low compression in one of my cylinders, losing coolant and my oil looks like grey mud :(. So i was wondering what peoples opinions were on whether this sounds like a blown head gasket and if so what would be the best option considering that im not particularly happy with my z
    1) get it fixed
    2) sell the zed and get a better one
    3) get it fixed, still sell the z and get a better one
    4) part out the z
    Thanks

    Tough question

Sounds blown to me, dont sell it like it is you will loose money, I would get it fixed and keep it. At least then you will know its condition. It is hard to find a better one imo because you dont know its history and condition. If you dont want a zed anymore part it out, you should make some of your cash back at least. If you have the patience and know how try repair your self. My 3 cents... good luck :zlove:

mate you will get bugger all if you sell the z with a blown headgasket maybe 5k. id say its a perfect time 2 rip appart your engine wack some forgies in there and some big turbos.

at the end of the day unless your willing 2 take a big loss there really isnt much point selling it and buying another unless u can source a late model z (very expensive)

    Depends on

the condition off the car overall. If the car in good condition Id just pull the engine and replace the head gaskets. If its a high millage engine, nows the time for a rebuild, and general clean up. Like i said it would depend on the overall condition off the car.

    Cheers guys

Yeah the cars not in great condition overall which is why Im kinda reluctant to spend the money to get it fixed. Im really in two minds about this  Going down the rebuild/upgrade path is tempting tho
