This cable connects your laptop to your Zeds diagnostic/Consult port and with supportive software enables you to perform full Nissan diagnostic procedures. You can monitor your cars sensors, scan for fault codes and clear them, perform active tests like cylinder drop/power balance, fuel pump cut, temporary injector and ignition timing changes and various other diagnostic procedures.
There is a variety of free softwares available for download on the net.

You need to have a Nissan ECU for this to work, chipped is fine as are piggybacks. You just need to have an operative diagnostic port like pictured below >
