    Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the world of 300ZX's. I purchased a 1991 TT 2+2 about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I'm just wondering if anyone can explain this black dust located on my bonnet near the seal. I'm continously wiping it away and a couple of days later I notice more has appeared, I'm sure it's nothing too major but i'm just curious where it could be coming from?

    Thanks

Most likely your bonnet rubbing on your nose panel.

Pop your hood and check the edges of both panels and check for wear.

Can usually be eliminated by loosening the 2 x 6mm bolts (10mm socket) that secure the nose panel down, move the nose panel forward slightly and retension above mentioned bolts

I just removed the nose panel than and it appears you were spot on. It looks like the seal of the nose panel would be rubbing on the bonnet as that side of the seal wasn't tucked in behind the bolts like on the rest of the panel. Will confirm if this solved it in a couple of days.
    Cheers Michael
