Can't wait to see what this does on track :br: That's an awesome result. Would be good to see what it does down the drag strip as well. Rob, do you have an incar camera setup? We need video :br:
Car is still on dyno getting the rest of the flex tune done. I noticed the mid 11 A/F on the 489rwkw so will look into it. Also forgot to mention my clutch slips/screeches for a second on the dyno at around 4500+rpm then grabs again . this where its at max torque . pretty sure the clutch pads are worn by now and its not a pressure plate strength problem. so going to order z1 twin plate rebuild kit and going to install the PPG gears carbon fibre shaft is doing well can't wait to drive it .I'm used to drifting the whole of 3rd gear . Drifting in 4th is new territory  . .
great work rob , i knew this was going to be a amazing build, and it is , BIG FAN OF YOUR CAR ALWAYS HAVE BEEN :br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br::br:
It get"s even better, Ben tickled it a bit more this morning including VVT settings and it made 492rwkw.
Yes 18 psi - 430+rwkw (580rwhp) 24psi - 470+rwkw (630rwhp) 27psi -26psi - 492rwkw (660rwhp) Genuine 750+ BHP engine Was going to push for 500rwkw but UAS dyno is known to read low anyway .
Anti very safe ..how often do you think I will run at 27 psi if ever? even at the quarter mile it will only be on 24 psi which is 278rwkw all day which is a very safe tune. 1300cc is a better choice than 2000cc at this level for flex fuel ..that's why they designed it .
Took it for a spin today . Responsive ,quick ,efficient is an understatement . no point explaining it,just have to jump in the passenger seat . . Went over the results and graphs properly with Ben . 98 fuel 16psi.....400.1rwkw 22psi -21psi ......442rwkw safe tune , does it all day easily . Hopefully this will put and end to this debate . YOU DONT NEED BIG TURBOS AND CAMS . E85 18psi ....435-440rwkw 19psi ....448rwkw 24psi ....478rwkw 27-24psi .....492rwkkw at 4500rpm ............... 840NM TORQUE and virtually 400rwkw Dyno estimates 774BHP Timing is only 16 at 4000rpm ramping to 18 at 5500rpm and maxing at 20 over 7000rpm This is quite conservative and safe for E85. .
What I found out today my boost controller is at 95% Ben took it to 100% (like I requested but thought he run it ) and it went over 30psi at 4400rpm ..he shut it down at 4700rpm . the dyno map sensor only reads to 30psi so it would just stop and flat line the results on the graph . it was 410rwkw at 4500rpm 429.7 rwkw at 4700rpm ridiculous
HOLY FROG NUTS! I mean seriously, when people talk about setting a bar, the idea is to nudge it up dude... not grab the bar!.. throw it across the stadium then make your own **** bar as tall as that roof... that is MONSTROUSLY impressive and I have to say/beg.. PLEASE TAKE ME FOR A DRIVE.. To put this in comparison for people, to a car that isn't set up to breathe properly (mine) regarding the intercooler, intake pipework. Pump 98 18PSI=385rwkw (that's right, 2 more psi! 15 LESS rwkw and probably higher in the RPM band too) 19.5PSI=400rwkw.. again, id wager later in the power band. 4400RPM @250rwkw.. 22psi=411.2rwkw ALSO @ANTI , the ID1300 are much more reliable for flex fuel in how they are designed, they also have a duty cycle roof of around 94% from what I was reading (Someone correct me if I am mistaken please) 85% is relatively safe. again, PLEASE take me for a drive lol
85% hey ? what is the AFR like out of curiousity ? im guessing this was still relatively safe/ not leaned out to heavily ?
