We ran a couple of car club days at Oran park 2008 Grand Prix circuit went from 1:39 sec dowm to 1:24 sec in one year. At wakefield we do 1:15 sec with slipping clutch changed to 6 pad button clutch no more slipping, running 236kw at rear wheels., Running relatively mild tune 15 psi boost Dunlop R1 17 inch 40 245s with FMIC standard turbos exhaust moded to straight through cats welded back on 3 inch slotted cross drilled fronts, coil overs all round, hicas barred, 240klm down front straight, big 3 inch alum radiator and thats it. Luckily a puff of smoke and the car goes into limp mode, towed it home on trailer, turned out to be jumped 5 teeth on quad cam belts but idlers stayed together to hold valves off pistons. Had head gasket problem left bank put "silver seal" $5 a can in for a year still did a few hillclimbs. Bought a second hand motor for $900 put my plenum and coils injectors etc. new cam belt and idlers retimed it ran it was running on five cylinders. compression cold was 145 each cylinder but running no 3 went to 45 psi So pulled off one head from old motor shaved it $66 bought a set of gaskets from USA $61 ebay only used one head gasket. Pulled head off inside car tricky not impossible after having engine out three times in one year fully over it. Lucky I do it myself otherwise I think they charge about $1000 each time. Put old head on less 87K motor now runs just fine "Rob Carrall Toronto " who just passed away aged 49 did all the intellectual stuff I just do the spanner work as I am only an architect and does this stuff on weekends and nights. Now just need to run on dyno again for start of car club stuff in february 2011 again
Hi Matt, Good to hear from you again! (Im friends with Ashley, we have met a few times many years back). I saw your run in the Mattara hillclimb back in '07 or '08. Did you compete the last 2 years? Give me a message thru this site if you need a hand twirling spanners some time, I have two of these cars myself, always good fun to have a tinker
As I said we have run every year at mattara hillclimb King Edward park since 2005 and have been changing stuff like motor for 18 months it is now sorted and ready to fly again thanks matt

To add more than one pic just do the same as I showed you in the Private message I sent you. You can have many images in one post, you just need to make sure that there is a [/img] at the end of each picture URL and a at the start. Don't hit "submit reply" button until you have all the pics in the [img] that you want to show us. If you use multiple tabs or windows in your internet browser it will make things easier. When you are on the tinypic website, select the option to make it 800x600 pixels, so the picture is not as big as the ones above I'm interested to see some action shots :br:
