Big single turbo

Just had some new stock arrive Grade 2 Titanium exhaust pipe , I've also made full titanium muffler

 

Mad! How is it learning to weld titanium?

 

It's fine cleanliness is the key and plent of shielding gas

 

How do you compare it to tigging ally?

 

I'd say ally is the more awkward one

 

Tidy. Why did you keep the dust shields?

 

I'll cut them off once I decide which brakes I'm going for

 

I've now made my TiTanium mufflers
Also made up a few extra ones if anyone's interested in them

Got a choice of either 3inch inlet
Or like mine with 4inch inlet

These are full grade 2 TiTanium

Finally got to work on my car for once
Got both manifolds fully welded just waiting for some bends to link the two.
Also started on the down pipe, also repositioned the turbo slightly

 

Great work, surprised you can be bothered lobstering the dump haha

 

It's easy and quick enough lobstering it plus a lot cheaper than buying individual bends and you never quite know what bend you'll need when doing custom stuff

 

This is awesome wondering though where the radiator and intercooler will go?

Don't get me wrong

It all looks good, however exhaust gases have to travel long way to reach the turbine, by doing so they loose on the temperature...
Whit that in mind efficiency of that turbo will drop down quite significantly.
