    Hey guys...

Just wanted to say that if any of you are considering using any of their products, do not hesitate. They are a great company with some of the best customer service I have ever seen.

I use their S-Blade Xtreme fan on my Z, which works great. I originally had the controller that came with it which puked (melted connections from drawing too hard). I called to order another because it was out of warranty. They had since upgraded the fan controller, which cost about twice what the original did, and they sent me that one for free even though it was beyond the warranty period.

Recently, I had noticed the fan would kind of shudder at lower speeds. I took the blade off and ran the motor, and found that the outer bearing was worn. I have had that fan for about 4 years, so I was just going to order a new motor. Well, I got on the phone with tech support to ask them if there was some service I needed to perform based on what had happened, and the guy ended up sending me a new fan motor for free! It has been out of warranty for over three years. Unbelievable customer service, and solid products.

What Zed are you running that on TT or NA.?
What Model would I need to suit a NA with shroud.?
I looked on their site and no listing for 300zx.

Fits the TT radiator almost perfectly. 3300cfm, keeps my car nice and cool even on the hottest of days. I have the variable speed controller that determines the fan speed based on temperature. It has worked well for me for several years. I also like the e fans as much for the quietness of operation as anything. The tt mechanical fan made my car sound like a ford f-250.

That is some outstanding customer service for sure.
However, (and not to rain on your accomplishements but) a red flag went up for me when you said that your fan controller wiring melted which could have lead to a complete engine fire. The second flag went up for me when you said the fan's outer bearings were shot after 4 years of use.
I'm glad that you got free replacements and great service but it doesn't remove my perception of the product viability in the first place. I opted for an oem type of e-fan (Taurus) which seems to be a bit more robust since many are successfully using 20+ year old (salvaged from wrecking yards) ones. Myself, I opted for a new Taurus fan simply because they are 1/4 the cost of that flexilite fan, have a 2 speed capability and have the requisite CFM for a TT engine. So, price and durability were my reasons why I saw a red flag on your e-fan encounters.
Fingers crossed you don't encounter any further fan controller or fan motor issues.

    The wiring didn't melt...

the solder on the spade plugs on the controller itself melted. It probably wasn't helping that when that happened, it was a hundred degrees out in the middle of August and the fan was running pretty much all the time, but it never melted any wires, just solder. The original controller was a cheap P.O.S. anyway.

    Yeah...

the original controller came with the fan, but that fan had just come out, and had a bigger, beefier motor than anything they had produced previously, so I don't think they were aware that the added demands of the bigger motor would do that to the controller. They quit using that controller altogether, and now provide a much nice unit.
