yay! my baby arrived today, first time ive ever laid eyes fon her. shes absolutely beautiful (yet filthy dirty), direct from kobe japan. 89 2+2 N/A manual with aftermarket exhaust.

now that i have her ive got a few queries as there is some stuff that i need to fix. things like does anybody know where i can get a new or reconditioned power steering pump as mine is shot. can you replace it without taking engine out? please say yes.

also i have the ignition key but no key to get into the zed itself...whats the deal? where can i get a new key for mine? i was thinking of going for a new alarm with central locking to eliminate the need for it so while im on that topic does anyone have a brand they reccommend?

also it seems that my little boot tab thingy i pull isn't working anyone had any problems with this in the past and if so how to fix?

also can you get to the selectors without taking engine out?

sorry if these seem like basic questions but i have to admit im a bit of a newb when it comes to this stuff. i used search button to check for answers to these but nothing as yet...
so many questions not enough time hehe
thx to all who reply :zlove::zlove::zlove:

    Some answers.....>>

You can get a rebuild kit from Nissan and the bearings from a bearing supply shop and just do it yourself. Yes it can be removed without taking the engine out.

Two options here. Find someone wrecking a zed and get a full set of locks from them (including glove box). Or get a locksmith to key your existing locks so that they match. I don't have an alarm so I can't offer much advice, but since some insurance companies have alarms they do and don't accept make sure you take that into consideration.

Start by checking the cable isn't broken, if that is fine then it might just need adjustment.

What do you mean by selectors?
