Hey all Well its that time of year again, about this time last year we started organising salon 07 and from what i could see and hear from last year it was a smashing success, so this is an EOI if ppl want to enter as a club again! Now nothing as been discussed about this thus far, i.e. what theme, who's entering, meeting times, NOTHING, so this is basically this is the first official post about it, so i would appreciate everyones view on this, opinions, suggestions, etc Now I have put this up as an EOI for Aus, personally since its a club i think it should be available to all members from all states, obviously its a big decision if you were interested in entering from over east, but the invite is certainly there, once again your views opinions etc are valued, post here or PM me Just for those of you who didn't manage to see it last year, here is a small recap of the event Basically to re-cap, from experiences last year, there is a s**tload of organising and help that is needed, last years event wouldn't have been possible without the salon crew help, and ppl like ZXxx and Thatfilmguy aka Paul and Chris for making the cruise vids, Ross aka Jinxed and Tom - Zrated for help setting up and esp Ross for providing the Aus300zx buisness cards, JamesZX for making the photoshop mod boards, Pete - Wykked for sending us the banner from over east, etc, sorry if i forgot others haha So yeh, if there is enough interest, great, i'll start organising the nitty gritty things with the roadshow crew again and we'll organise a meet time etc, if not, then thats fine, we'll just take it ez this year and be boring haha Cheers Mike
ill be in on the organisation again this year, but my car wont be entering what date is the actual show on again?
who knows.. i may even make it this year all i have left is half the interior trimming, dash overhaul, half a stereo install and a small thing being an engine build autosalon is in july some time and the website hasnt released official dates yet
dont need the car to be 'driving' thats the beauty of a static show like autosalon man! haha most of the cars there are never driven even if they can be!
Exactly Do what u gotta do to get it there, towing it, pushing it or whatever hahah Seriously, heaps of ppl with long time projects which should be coming to an end, good time/place to display it
haha.. so you suggest if the engine isnt ready.. dump the coilovers a few more centimeters and leave the bonnet closed? or put it on a stand beside the car
why not man? im sure you car will be sweet for it.. and if y ou remember we talked about having an engine on display last year, im assuming yours is blinged up so would be a cool display to have it on a stand showing more then just a plenum...
ill try to have it in the car,, if its ready for a stand display it should be in the car the car itself will be ready in a week or so.. just finishing the interior trimming at the moment
i think it could be fun.. your car need a bloody good sand and buff.. i saw it at toms the other day.. theres a yellow/gold pearl over the top of your paint job that i never noticed before because it was painted too dry.. was it supposed to be this colour?? thats the colour i was going to paint my car waayyyy back when if you want some tips on how to make it shine let me know.. will take 2 full 8 hour days if there was enough clear put on the car in the first place
Haha guys Very tempting Steve... Who says I/we are entering this year , yes we do have interest, also trying to finalise plans of what we should do, hopefully all goes ahead :zlove:
