Hi all Anyone running this micro laptop and Conzult? I can install Conzult ok but as soon as I run it it falls over with an error. Any ideas would be welcome. RegardZ Charles
Thanks for the help. I'm using full Conzult. Have just installed Conzult then rebooted just in case then run Conzult to enter key etc. Conzult then immediately fails. I have used this Conzult on a number of pcs over the last 15 months with no problems. Tried this eee pc just today. error is conzult.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. more details Error signature AppName: conzult.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.3119 Offset: 00012a5b ThankZ Charles
Yep I'm getting the same thing. ECUTalk and datascan run fine, as does the free version of Conzult, but I've tried the full Conzult on 2 EEEPCs now, with slightly different installs and I get the same message. I have cut down the XP installs on both Acers, so I was going to do a full install and see what happens. Andrew
Try running it when the laptop is plugged into the power point or when you have the battery settings to Max performance. I was having similar issues and that fixed it.
That error message suggests a kernel dump, are you running the preinstalled version of XP that came with the eeepc or did you load it yourself?
Hi Got it working. Standard drivers installed, however, this pc needs to have the cable plugged in before running the program. Then it works fine without the error. Only prob still to solve, why doesn't the HICAS section work? The screen is greyed out and the ecu ident is not shown. I'm running the Blazt usb cable and its suggested that this might be the cable. Apparently the HICAS ecu works on a different baud rate. None of my laptops have had the HICAS screen working. RegardZ Charles
My goal is to be uber leet and run it within WINE on the eeePC Xandros linux Operating System. Awesome little notebooks under linux, shame it might be something like this that will make it change to windoze
