    The ASI........

......Rad fits right in actually:) No modifications required contrary to some suggestions.;) AND, is a top design with a great track record:cool: Some great products coming out from China now.:zlove:

PS- I have been reliably informed that the ASI and the PZP are the exact same basic Rad;)

Hey guys i also think its better to get the PZP rad because its from a supporter of the forum, so if there is more interest in the pzp rads then go for it :)

If you guys are shopping for radiators there is a good deal on UAS/PWR twinpass at the moment. Not as cheap but light years ahead in terms of quality and efficiency with twinpass 40mm core provent to drop temps more than single 56mm core for daily driving. $550, ready to send and no minimum buyers. Another one to consider...

You've been informed wrong. I pay extra to get a different quality core. They look the same, yes, but the cores are different.

Anyway, I've spoken to Vizard and the groupbuy is a go ahead. I'll create a new thread when I get to the office.

    Well.......

.......I ony know what ASI have told me that they supply the Rads to your Supplier??????? What can I say.

ASI have it wrong... My supplier isn't a middle man, it's a manufacturer. They don't purchase their product from ASI or any other manufacturer. They do all the construction in house and have contracts with Greddy for some of their intercooler cores. Anyhow, I don't know what this debate is all about Paul... if you have any issues with the quality of my product, please don't hesitate to call or email me. 0438 843 467 or tom@perthzperformance.com.au

We can discuss it further without dragging it all over the forums.

    Thanks :)

    Not once......

.......did I say I had an issue with any of your products Tom. :) Quite the contrary, I understand the quality of all your products as well as your servicing of the Zed is of top quality. IF, I have been misinformed, I do apologise. Peace :zlove:

if they are more or less the same, with similar feedback,

i dont have moral value to support who or who,
just economically prefer the cheaper one

No offence tom, but how exactly does your radiator have an "improved core" and better overall design and yet now you can afford to drop your price from $499 to $300, charging only $15 more than ASI?

Looking at the pics in your FS thread i can see no differences whatsoever compared to the radiator i purchased from ASI.

My point is, if you say the core looks exactly the same but insist it is better , from a production perspective it wouldn't be worth a manufacturer's while making a whole production run of your "modified" design specifications only to look identical to ASI.

    Please enlighten me..

    Hey schtein,

Prepare to be enlightened! hehehe :)

There are a number of manufacturers in China that have the exact same design as the 'ASI radiator'. As the story goes, once one person makes something, everyone else copies the same design... so on and so forth.
The radiator core size is the same, both are 56mm however the core themselves are a different construction. I'm judging this from what I've spoken to autosourcing about in the past.

When I approched my manufacturer about these radiators, they offered me their 'standard' core or a choice of other cores that were constructed using different alloys which they explained to me are higher in efficiency and heat transfer rate. I'm happy to have a chat to my supplier and get some technical specifications on the alloys used in their more expensive cores if anyone is interested.

It's quite a science when you get down to it however my decision wasn't that scientific. If I can afford to squeeze something better into a PZP labled product without blowing out the cost significantly, I'll do it. I'm more concerned about getting a quality product to my customers for a good price. A $499 radiator to me isn't that great of an expense when comparing it to the US branded and Aussie PWR radiators. If it keeps a Z32 at a nice 80deg I'm happy.

My RRP is $499 and I'm offering the group buy price of $300 but with at least a 15+ buy in. I loose money otherwise in shipping, customs clearance, etc. Or I'm stuck with more stock than I need and I've got nowhere to store more than 20 at a time.

True, very true. The layout is the same. I think we moved the left hand side mounting point about 2mm to ensure accurate fitment but you can't tell the difference when looking at them.

Another good question. The way the radiators are contructed means I can purchase a different core and get it made to my dimensions, specifications, etc to fit a certain radiator. The only thing that I get charged for is increased tooling costs and usually a larger minimum order quantity. Instead of buying 2 or 3 radiators, I'll usually have to buy 30 - 50pcs. The turn around is around 25 days for manufacturing. These tooling costs are factored into the RRP.

Well anyway, my radiator still hasnt arrive from ASI which i payed for on the 19th of august and they STILL have not got back to me on a price for the group buy.

Like i said, i think we should stick with the PZP rad, if toms says he uses a different core then i trust that, ive seen price lists for these radiators and the prices for cores differ only by a few dollars most of the time yet the quality difference is very noticable.
