okay heres the go my mate thinks his 2001 honda integra type R - DC2 - manual exhaust(Scud 2) and pod ( not sure specifically on what the mods are) WOULD BEAT MY nissan 300zx 1990 Manual non turbo with a Fujitsibo Catback exhaust ( 2 pipes) and a 3A Pod What do you guys think.. please someone tell me that he is @^#*&@ out of his mind?
you 'should' beat him. power vs power. Depends on how good a driver you and him are. a lot of it is in the launch. as said before, take it to the drag strip and find out.
yeah we are sitting here arguing about it he is dead set and technically i should win we will and i will let you know the results!! might post up some vids.
Type R integra's are a quick car - almost 200hp stock, not much more than 1200kg, rev to 8500rpm, does the quarter in a shade over 15 seconds. If he has an exhaust and pod filter, and can drive, I wouldn't be surprised if he does high 14's - which I think would beat most NA z's. Go to the drags and see
I wouldn't get too cocky about winning the race dude you will probably get a nasty surprise ..... but all that aside who cares if he can beat you it's still a Honda LOL!! They may be fast (some models if prepared correctly) but they just don't have the soul of a rear wheel drive sports car. IMO Honda = loose all possible ten points straight away unless it's a nice S2000
Depending on condition of both the cars i would put my money on the Honda! As much as i don't like to think that, the type R's are pretty quick
TT hands down. NA.....maybe. V-TEC isn't slow, but not fast and all that powerful either. I reckon it would make for a pretty good race.
I bet the Honda. Even if it's too close to estimate, then you lose. Your driving the faster looking car that can't beat a normal car. Na Z, hondas, Standard fords or commadores. All the same speed. Even if he gets 14.9 over your 15.0 then you prove u both drive slow cars.
well with those mods, estimating, it would put the honda somewhere around 230+bhp + 230nm (???)and the zed (if in great condition) 235+bhp + 280nm power to weight and driver ability will play a roll in this...it would be a close race and as the integra is 200+kgs lighter, i would say it MIGHT just win....but then again, you have more torque (but more weight to move)
lol race him up a hill you will be safe vg torque baby people say less talk more action i say more torque less traction
Or an NSX, nothing wrong with them at all. I do agree in general though, Honda make some pretty decent engines and such but tend to want to ruin it all by putting them in front wheel drive cars.
couploe of honda intergra type R's were on the dyno a couple weeks ago.. God they are SO LOUD !! made 170horse tuned non turbo.. you can really hear that Vtec kicking in.. (get your ear muffs)
