I've actually got one of these on order, I'm hoping to receive it next week. From my research they are great value for money & are great for the price & I havnt heard anything negative about them on zeds, so I decided to get them.

Afaik the UAS brace fouls on something or I think that was v1 so if you end up getting them just make sure to double check & do your research.

    Hope that helps.

UAS have recently finished their v2 brace.
The original one fouled on some aftermarket radiators.

It is not yet up for sale, as it still has to be mass produced, but I saw this one in person, and it looks quality.

Might be worth looking into :)

For some clarification Ahmed, the UAS first gen braces fouled on standard radiators but cleared twin pass units, as was on the test car at UAS.

Currently in the manufacturing stage are the next stage UAS brace which is a different design made to clear all radiators.

I have held the Ultra Racing braces as well as been underneath a car with one fitted. They are very light weight and appear to be well made. I'm sure they will do the job but as the UAS unit is a four pointer it does a separate task.

Ultra Racing are Malaysian so I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a dealer closer to you than UAS. Member Sevenangrypenguins had one on here, currently for sale in the for sale section as he is parting it out. He would have a validated opinion on this.

For some clarification Martin the test car doesn't appear to have had a radiator at all... minor details...

Hard to foul on a radiator if there isn't one in the car lol

    Maybe THAT was the issue...

My zed probably wasn't 'bent' at all ;)

New one looks to fit, not presence of radiator in pics :D

    WhiteNight Littering and...

The old UAS one is also fine, just need to add $50 for a shop to relocate the radiator exit pipe by an inch. Certainly no deal breaker for me.

Realistically speaking you're completely right here, people are so afraid of what turns out to be a simple task

People get upset about buying one thing and being sold another... the problems with the version 1 brace are in now way, shape or form to do with those that bought them...

Oh you're completely right, but it's still a solid point

Well they should have been sold with a $50 voucher to the local rad shop and the sales pitch changed to 'does not fit on oem zed'.

what got my goat the most was being told that my zed must be bent, when in fact they didnt even test to see if it cleared lol

Mike as far as I know anyone that approached John with a problem was offered a refund -was this not the case with yours? By approached John I mean phone call or email, not blowing up on the forum...

Thanks for all the input. I ended up purchasing the Ultra Racing tension rod brace, mainly because it's easier for me to get in the U.S. and I got a great deal from the vendor. I'll let you know how it feels once installed :)
