Anyone found *good* UV Resistant Heatshrink?

The two strips on the side of my windscreen are a little worse for wear, and they're beginning to look quite ugly. I could strip them back, but having chromeish strips on the front and black on the hatch/targa's would look kind of weird. Also, I don't like the idea of chrome trim on a red car.

I remember reading about someone covering theirs in heatshrink (can't remember who), and the photos looked absolutely unreal, but I also remember them telling of how they perished within 6 months...

So as the topic states - has anyone found any good UV reisistant heatshrink yet? ;) :) :zlove:

The difference will be noticeable if you decide to only do the strips on either side of the windscreen. Even replacing it with new OEM items will look different to the targa sections due to the effect of aging

Whether you re-paint them or replace them

There are a few tech articles on how to remove the various trim bits:

    T Top trim removal

    Robo's tips

    TTZ links

They are hard to find through our Tech Section, so maybe a Moderator could put in a few links?
