wow it has been along time since i have been on this forum

    anyway...

drivers side turbo chucked the sh*ts about a year back. havent had the funds to be able to do anything about it exept park the old girl in the garage and occasionally start her just to see a gallon of oil smoke pour out the exhaust.

it was upsetting me looking at it sit in the garage doing nothing except being a giant dust collector so decided to pull the turbo's out finally

and yes, you can pull the turbos out without taking the engine out. you can even pull them out without undoing an engine mount to lift the engine for a little extra space, lol

so my drama is $2000 to get them rebuilt, which is impossible on uni student wages

    or:

gotta love aus vs us dollar at the moment

so has anyone delt with or at least heard anything about these turbos at all?

lol, yeah, i dont believe the stats they give aswell

but i need to find something that will fit back in from underneath so they basically cant be physically bigger then the t25. it was a tight fit to pull them out

its hard to find something i can afford that will be reasoably reliable

If you need something to fit back in from underneath, I can rebuild your standard turbo's or high flow them. Standard rebuild is $880 pair. High flow inc. rebuild is $1600 pair.

New bushes, seals, o'rings, circlips, retainers, bolts. Gates pressure checked and replaced if needed, New impellor if needed, most do. Assembly balanced and reassembled into soda blasted housings. All parts are genuine Garrett. Supplied with all gaskets and copper washers to refit to engine.

Unless the shaft is bent, yes. If it is bent beyond repair I have a heap of turbo cores that I use for housings, shafts etc when needed.
