    hi everyone,

my car was misfire on #6 cylinder, i had swap around the coil, changed spark plug and swap my PTU to know working PTU (type1).... the #6 cylinder still misfire. after that, i use stethoscope to listen all 6 injectors, find out that the #6 injector have not any pulse sound (tricky sound). I think there is the problem.

Now im going to change it but just want to know any easy way to change it?

that was hard to accessing

    Cheers

    im pretty sure

that any injector replacement requires a plenum pull, no other way around it. Time consuming but a good experience IMO. You can find a tech article on this which tells you everything you need to know. And if you havn't done it before, it's a good idea to take plenty of photos as you go so you know exactly where everthing goes when you start putting it back together. Good luck mate.:)

actually you can grind the plenum just enough to pull them from the top but in most cases you'll break the top of it off so better have a replacement handy.

I did that for one injector but decided on pulling the plenum to get them all cleaned and flow tested anyway.

BTW, you should ohms test the injector first, if it seems ok, check connections, wiring and CAS.

    Ahh plenum grinding

The fantastic, quick and easy way to do it.

But I dare say most people aren't that slack with their pride and joy.
I don't do shortcuts on my Z so I have zero time to mention it.:)

Definitely pull the plenum. And get all your injectors cleaned and flow tested. Replace the lower insulators and clean up all the corrosion which is bound to be there on all the injector connectors.

****** Before you pull the plenum ...

take the injector connector off and clean both male and female terminals with some contact cleaner and retension the females so they 'bite' onto the males when connected again... in 95% of occasions that fixes the priblem...

if that doesn't work then check the wiring to the injector by removing the CAS (with connector connected) and spinning the spindle manually by hand with ignition on... you shoulld hear all 6 injectors click in sequence.

If that doesn't work, try a different ECU... THEN do the plenum pull ...
