Wasn't there a dyno test on these 2.5" piping kits and with bigger TB's and plenum work the difference was like 40rwhp or something wasn't it?
Sounds plausible but depends on a number of factors, I intend to do some testing in the future and have a customers car due for dyno tuning in a mth or so - hard to confirm power increase due to other changes being made though.
did those pipes ever turn up, first reports ive heard is that the fitment of the turbo pipes themselves are poo has your design been mangled by the ams factory? can we get some mungzy pipes direct from you ?
Yes the pipes arrived very quickly and with minimal fuss The ones that arrived here and at least one other person that I know of are NOT the same as what I designed I'm working with AMS to get this issue sorted. You could order them directly from me but unfortunately at present I am really swamped with work so it would take a while before I could send any out. I've asked AMS about supplying just the two pipes that bolt to the turbos as these are the critical parts, will see what they say about this.
maybe you could make up a small batch for us that fit the stock accordian pipes without anything else im sure a small GB could be setup 2 to 5 sets
I'm sure we could work something out but at this stage I can't honestly say I can get them made any time soon due to my current workload. As I understand it Vuk has sent a new and improved whip over to the factory to keep the workers in check & we should see something much closer to what I designed coming out soon. AND we should be able to source just the pipes that bolt directly to the turbos if they keep to the design these will work with the stock, AMS or the Z1 accordions.
Modified the pipes I got in a little while ago, wasn't a huge job once I had a careful think about it and pin pointed the actual fault: If you are absolutely screaming out to get your hands on these I can rework the faulty ones and supply them for less than what it would cost to build from scratch I'm pretty certain. I will talk with AMS and see if we can work out a deal
Progress is slow but there IS progress and while we have been waiting I have been testing (as I'm sure you have seen) I'm happy with some of the results so will work on more testing. With any luck I should be able to give fairly accurate numbers of what you can expect from these kits and the boost pipe kits I'm fairly certain AMS has the new batch of pipes in stock but we need to get some down here to confirm fit etc before any are sold to the public ( I want some for my own car anyway and don't have time to make them )
