Had the arvo off so I got to installing the amp and sub i inherited from my sis. All went fine, sound tested fine, however, when i manuevered it about and got it under the seat, and then re-wired it there, i developed a small (but damn annoying problem). Every time the sound cuts out altogether, and then comes on (when you turn on the deck, skip tracks, whatever) it makes a loudish pop, sounds kinda bassy, in the front right speaker i think.Anyone had problems of this kind? it's gay, ruins my new toys.PS very modest set-up, sony head, sony 300w 6x9s in doors, stock rears, and now a philips 80wRMSx2 (220w bridged) amp with pioneer 8" (or 10? who knows?) sub. Suits listening to punk/ska (mainly), and a little metal, industrial stuff fine though.

    amp prob

the only thing i can think of is that the amp is shorting. if the amp has quite a bit of height to it the current could be jumping from the power terminal to the steel bars under your seat. i have a hertz amp under my seat though it is quite thin. try buying (if u dont have already) proper rubber insulated terminals for power and earth.
in regards to your sub popping when u turn off the head unit or whateva some amps just do that. i think its the left over power releasing in the amp when it is turned off.
    Hope this helps
