Get all your alts from the states too, I got a freshly re-con'd 90A alt with a warranty for only $50! Worked awesome...
thanks i realise that i can actually source anything from the states but i would rather know what im looking for thus i need the specs of the stock alternator that fits in a twin turbo zed . by specs i mean the make / part number / power rating as im tryin to source a new alternator in victoria and cannot find one. Basically my power steering pump has leaked and killed the voltage regulator, the auto electrician ive left the car with seems to think he needs to import the alternator / voltage regulator from japan.
Apparently the one I got wasn't a direct replacement. It bolted up, but the plug was further around the side of the alt. The guy at the shop said it wasn't worth rebuilding, and better off just getting a new one.
true i agree i'd like to get a new one as well as ive still got the same one that came in it from japan , i just need to know whats a good replacement for the stock one the make or the part number . i'd think the auto electrician would know but he seems a bit apprehensive to touch a zed.
Sorry I can't get the part number for you. I made a splash shield for mine to protect it from PS fluid and i'ts blocked the number Try ringing around a few places, I was lucky, the first person I rang got me a new one
