ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT HELP

    is there a tech article on how to replace the alternator? Does anyone know prices for a new or recon one?

    is on twinturbo.net. I replaced mine recently, took about 1 hour to remove, 1 hour to replace. Mine cost $246 with a 24 month warranty to be rebuilt including new bearings, brushes and regulator.

    Alternator fits.Matt here in Canberra paid $495 to have his alternator rebuilt (including R&R).

    Just got mine done, at a local auto elec>>

    and it cost me about $350 to get reconditioned and including labour and warranty 24 months I think if not 24, then it was 12.

    Rebuilt my alternator..>>

    with new bearings and voltage regulator for $90.Took about 1 hour and is not hard to do.Cheers

    FALSE ALARM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Turns out it was one F$%en fuse causing all my problems!!!!!!! (unstable idle, stalling, battery light and "light" light comin on). Anyone else had this problem?????

    Yep, zcar and I diagnosed it in about 5 mins (n/m)

    It was a 10A fuse in the engine bay ........

    under "ENGINE CONT"
