Alternative to gauge rings

    I'm looking into a few alternatives to the avaliable polished gauge rings at the moment.

    I need the exact measurements for the diameter inside the face plate (the cutaway circle) for the 4 gauges to show through. I also need depth from the face plate of the instrument pannel to the face of the actual gauges set behind.
    I think they are the same for the tacho/speedo and temp/fuel - right?

    Here's some pics...

    Same measurements on each side. As the outer sides (what you see from the front) are slightly curved, means it appears larger than what you'd have to fit in there.

    So by my calculations using a standard measuring tape (not an electronic measuring device):
    Large slot: outer = 100mm, inner 95mm
    Smaller slot: outer = 60mm, inner = 57mm

    Depth of gauge slots: 5mm

    By the way, when I'm done I'll probably have a few differant sets (variations) and I'll post them up and make them avaliable if there are any interested members.

    i want to get some that look like the ones in the mazda 3 :eek: how awesome would they be :D i hope thats what you are making lol

    Hmmm...

    Well, with baggage like that, no wonder you hate them...

    ...hope you never break up with someone who drives a Z! That could be awkward - might begin calling yourself gay...? :rolleyes:
