I noticed a few people were interested in an alternative low cost engine fan. I have used the fan from a Nissan 720 SD25 (diesel) and it seems to be fine. It's a direct bolt-on and the overall diameter of the blades is slightly smaller than that for the zed but there are 8 fins (instead of 7). I guess it moves about the same volume of air. Not sure of the price except it cost me $66 about 12 months ago.

I will check a few places for the current price and I will not be asking Nissan for a price.

Please note that I have only done about 500km with this fan and all was well. Presently, I'm preparing the black zed for some panel beating and a full respray so not much prospect for further testing in the near future.

    Cheers

PS: A friend of mine (Bob Mitchell) found this fan. Well done Bob!!!

    Thanks for that John....>>

Was any of your testing done in hot (35 degree+) weather?

    No..>>

drove for the first two weeks of October. Temperature was up to about 25 degrees.

Never the less, I think the fan is ok. Will know more after Christmas when I hope to get the black TT going again.

    Cheers

just went through fast and got some info here

the engine fan is the same on all zed tt/na. It is the same on post 95 3.3 ltr pathfinder's. so Q45 have the same as well.

Btw check out all the add ons for the zed in F.A.S.T the most kinkey one seams to be the feather duster.
