Package arrived today, they look awesome. Guessing they arrived in such great condition because you made the effort to add a smiley face after the DO NOT CRUSH warning.
Looking for others in the "Chili" area (Sydney) who would like to combine shipping with Lloyd. Please let me know if you would like to get in on this. Thanks.
Pity you're not selling LED's to go on the dipstick(or better still..the w/screen wiper blades)then you'd have heaps of takers...:zlove::br:
Right these guys have been waiting long enough, if anyone else wants to save on shipping by joining in with these two speak tonight or miss out.
OK! Round two! I know there were a lot of people on the list who said they wanted these and did not get them, either you thought I was getting in touch or you changed your mind or were waiting for others ... either way time to start from scratch Price is the same $120 per item front or rear shield, shipping is the same $45 for the pair prices in NZ dolars Payment up front before delivery, I will advise if there is going to be a delay in sending and what time frame to expect. I do have a small number of the eng shields in stock but the front ones will be a fresh batch made depending on numbers etc. If you are 100% going to buy post below and I will use this for a guide for numbers required then will let you know when I want some $$ before sending New batch will have a very slight tweak due to the sway bar touching depending on the brand, not really a big issue but want to move forward with the design. If you purchased either of the previous batch and have ANY comments to make please feel free, I would rather know about any issues so I can alter the design. At this stage I only know of a couple of very minor tweaks required if anyone has road kill tested please advise  pictures required
From my own personal experience with a metal splash shield over a plastic oem one. 2 years ago this happened. I firmly believe that had I not had a metal splash shield, my SMIC would have been destroyed and I would have had to have the car flatbedded home. As it was, the SMIC was not touched/damaged and I was able to safely drive home. The metal splash shield leading edge curled back due to the impact and I was able to bend it back to near normal shape and I am still using it to this day. That metal splash shield has more than paid for itself a number of times over.
Hey champ! nice design work there Mr mungyz So I want one of these......pretty please - 2450 coffs harbour Cheers J and L
Bit of feedback on these. Running a TT bar with Stillen lip and radiator support not the straightest after painter. Both covers fit perfectly. Do suggest going through all of the existing holes with a 6mm tap prior. Even if all the mounting bolts were in place. A clean thread makes fitment that much easier. Results? Didnt notice any, but car runs at a stable 82-83degrees already. They do look purdy tho, and a suggested replacement if your existing covers are torn or missing altogether. Cheers Michael
More due in stock on the 23rd Price remains the same, currently only three engine shields left one powder coated in black. So far I've only heard of one having issues fitting (on a stock Z) & that was actually me fitting it, the car had accident damage that had not been repaired correctly but a few moments with a round file and one she went About thirty of these out in the community now with no serious issues speed tested to 240Kph (on race track) not sure if anyone has impact tested on any wildlife etc?? Just a reminder if you have an after market sway bar there MAY be a clearance issue with the bar, my own car had one side of the sway bar touching the shroud - not a serious issue but duly noted and design alterations should have it sorted
I'm looking in to getting a couple of sets of these anodised as a trial to see how it comes out - anyone interested in taking the prototypes so long as they aren't an abortion? Can also do customisation and have vinyl print attached underneath for that ultimate "bling" obviously extra costs involved but if you want show car style it'd be well worth it
Hey, Put me down for the front please. I'm in Melbourne 3127 incase anybody wants to split postage. Cheers, Josh
Anodize one set black for me and I'm in. Vinyl decals? How much time do you spend under your zed mungy?
Small update: I have only two sets of the plain ally ones left then will be going to a slightly different design and incorporating black anodising. I have done some extra R&D and have the perfect solution for the pesky Whiteline sway bar issue my own car had - a "speed bump" simply wheeled the affected area to create clearance and all is well. Looks the part and actually adds strength to the shroud as well This would have to be done prior to anodising as the surface will be marked otherwise. Other versions of the shield from other vendors used a different profile to avoid the sway bar but this causes a large gap at the sides reducing the effectiveness of the shield. So far no negative feedback on these, if you have purchased and found an issue please let me know and I will work with you to sort it out & alter the design if required to help others in the future.
