Having trouble with my aircon. And living in tropical North Queensland, its a real bitch! Well I got it looked at today, and the pressure is ok, gas is fine and all that jazz, but he said the module that controls the air coming in from outside is stuffed. IE. its letting in too much hot air with the cold air. Even on recirc its letting in hot air. Also, all the cold air was being blown onto my feet, which wasnt particularly nice either. So he blocked off the pipes there and thats fixed that a little better. But has anyone else had any problems with this "aircon module" and is it a simple problem that an auto elec can fix or can I do it? Or do i need a new thingy-ma-bob? Cheers, Will
That 'thingy' you refer to... Is it the aircon computer or the air-mix door assembly? The computer usually plays up if one of 5 (or is it 7) sensors is faulty, but it sounds like he's referring to the air-mix door. Have both avail. ex Candy's Zed if any bits are required.
My air-mix door is stuffed It worked perfectly the other day but stuffed again. I have been trying to figure this prob since Oct. Shall I change all the sensor and see if the door works? At the moment, the air blow only thru demister and rec function does not seem to be working. Just letting outside-air in all the time. Many of our forum member have the same prob. It will be great if someone rectify this problem and post it in tech
