My aircon (well air, my compressor is no longer present!) only blows air at my feet or at demister. I have s1 climate control witht he digital display. The fan in my roof was rattling and annoying me so I took it out, not sure if this is relevant. I have done a search but can't find much helpful, any ideas? Cheers, Adam
There's a little fin type thing behind the dash that regulates the direction of the air flow. Yours is broken! Apparently you can fix it without pulling the dash out. There's an article in the tech section about it methinks.
There's a reasonable chance that, as you have effectively removed the Air/Con Compressor(and the Climate Control Sensor Fan in the roof)you have disabled the function that you now want to use. These things are fitted to the Z32 for a reason(you have discovered one of those reasons). Incidentally, there are several threads on this forum that explain in detail "How to Adjust & Lubricate" that tiny fan(to eliminate any annoying noise).
It worked fine for months before Mr Chili! I don't believe the compressor or climate control sensor would have anything to do with the issue but I wanted to give all the info. I had a friend suggest the same thing as Anti but his experience was based on a 180sx so I wanted to check before pulling apart my dash. Thanks for the tip about lubricating the fan, I might give it a go when I reconnect my aircon as the fan is just unplugged and sitting in my glovebox. Will save me trying to source a new one! I have the same prob and only blows warm air lol, mind you i removed air con and everything for weight savings (making it work properly went in the too hard basket) Its mainly just to demist my window now, If its hot open the windows or take the targa off, if its cold put the heater on Besides aircon is for softies, who needs that in SE QLD :rofl:[TIS]
