so this morning went to start the car up.. had been driving it the previous night. so i started her up and all good for about 5 seconds untill this lound tick and rattle started to come from the engine. pop the bonnet and listening i was thinkin maybe my lifters are gone so not to happy then shut her down. n came back later.. when i realished it was my airconditioning. looking quite the fool i shut it off to my amazement the problem went:D so im thinking something is wrong with the pulley or something cause it sounded like coming from under the timing belt covers. mate said something about a stuffed bearing:confused: maybe i should just throw it away and save myself 20kgs:D

  4. I would definitely

have it checked out. Had some strange noises coming from the timing belt area and when checked found that the auto tensioner was kaput and the timing belt had a lot of slack in it....not a good thing the mechannic told me.

So did the complete 100,000 km service with a kit from Caz...money well spent.

At the very least have a competent mechanic take a look......could save you from a wrecked engine..

    Regards.

If your lucky it will just be the bearing in the tensioner pulley for the belt.

I am toying with the idea of removing the air con, but the girls would kill me in summer. Apparantly having the targa's off messes up there hair too much :p
