Air leak from FPR?

Hey everyone, my car was playing up earlier tonight and I just nursed it home.

Firstly the brake lights were staying on causing the battery to die and then when it was running, it was idling bad as if the alternator wasn't charging the battery???

I just had the alternator reconditioned. I can tell the belt is slightly loose as it has just started squealing on start up.

Now, when I got home there was an air leak noise coming from the engine Bay and when I move the FPR around it changes the pitch of the noise, so I know it's coming from there and there's a faint fuel smell too.

Which lines should I be looking at? I'm assuming most FPR's have the same in and out lines, so someone in the know should be able to tell me which lines to check.

Now, if the FPR has an air leak, will it explain a dodgy idle? Almost dying? The reason I ask is that when my alternator died recently the car struggled to idle and run and it was struggling to idle tonight, and I'm not sure if that's due to the air leak on the FPR or he alternator not charging the batt.

I'll put a multimeter across the battery tomorrow and try to fix the air leaks.

    Any help is appreciated. Cheers!
