WA Aidan's WA techday/bbq 15th Aug

Since the techday finished at 4.00 AM and evrybody probably still in bed except aidan, I thought why not post report from yesterday.

1. Aidan's car: timing belt wasn't moving. So after three trip to bunnings Aidan decided to pull out the engine. Instant offer worked like a magic and Jammie's engine wa sold. Thanks to Ross who was in right time at right spot. Engine was halfway out when I left at 5.30 PM. Hopefully Jamie's engine will be out by 6.00 PM today.

2. I didn't plan to get the new éngine bling fitted, but while waiting for tools from bunnings new blings fitted. Very happy.

3. Two rotors and brake pad replaced for rovelive. Two more to go at rear. Dave was dedicated for rovelive as usual.

In short another successful event. Hopefully Aidan's car will be ready before cruise. Finger crossed. :thumbup:

yeah theres a long way to go, but we have faith....you can do it aiden!!

good day all round, i had a good day after i finally got there......

and i think jamie had a good time too, bought some stuff , sold some stuff, you had a productive day jamie lol!

Aiden has another engine! - Ooo could be running b4 the cruise with a few late nights...

Also, forgot to mention, a big thanks to Kabir for bringing the sub box down for me (Which i forgot to pick up lol!) And i'll be seeing Dave (Vader) and Andy (Michandy) for some more bits very soon!

ahhh so that the sub box belongs 2 you . we spotted it at 3am.. it almost ended up as a bonfire

 

oh dear. I didn't know fireworks was included. hurry up aidan, otherwise bonfire isn't far away.

 

ill bring sub box around tonight when i get engine....

sunday ended up being a very unproductive day really.... after running around collecting slings and crane and tyres i collapsed in aheap on the lounge and slept through the day... damn sleep... why cant 2 hours be enough...

ne ways... engine will be out of both cars tonight as long as remember the finer points of engine removal...
pp on jamies engine will happen tommorrow and all going to plan,
wednesday nite i should have an engine back in the beast...
thursday it should be running
friday it should be drivable and cose to ready for cruise....
saturday it will cruise... hopefulyl have the front bar and headligth back in too...

 

Far out that's a pretty hard core tech day! 4AM! Makes us Eastern-ers look soft as!

nice rainy day!! but it was good we got few things done.

Got my two rotors and break pad done. Thanks to DAve, kabir, simo and aiden.

Aiden's Z didn't start so i can smell another tech day soon.

 

shame you didnt get the rears done, next time though.....

wonder how aidens doing, he should be half way through the engine sway right about now.......

 

engine 2 is now at my house being stripped apart aka pp... decided it is going back in with the GB attached this time... too much **** arsing around to boit and unbolt while underneath
engine 1 will be removed in a couple hours after yesterdays disaster... and engine bay will be cleaned up and shiny tonight....
