WA AHG Motokhana, 31/5/08

Great day had by all I think. Had to cut the session a bit short because of visibility issues due to the thunderstorm. Lightning struck about 40m from where we were.

Lots of footage to come as there was hardly ever not a camera present.

There are a couple of snippets that are OK, but most of it sucked, lol


Had a great day though, it was good for me because it sortof proved that the drift techniques I have been working on at barbs still work well on a tighter and much lower speed course! Also showed that you can work out drift lines for a course quite quickly so its definitely re-affirmed that I want to go for superdrift next year!

Would love to see some other people's footage, especially stuff from outside of the cars. I'll chuck up some of the better stuff I took once Ive had a chance to edit it together!

Also Massive props to Whiteknight for getting off his @ss and organizing it... you know what they say.. Starting is always the hardest bit! Also Great date and time choice mate!

Yeah guys it was a great day. Heaps of smiles all round. I have plans of organising another whole day event in the future with a bbq and all.

Cheers to Zzz aka Andrew for lending me his video cam for some incar footage. I hope its not all rubbish. It was a million times better than my initial MR2 day where we only got a total of 6 mins or so on track. This was pretty much non stop as much as you wanted. I was happy with the way it turned out.

Still dont know what happened to Brock32....

got some ok footage. i think i have at least one run from everyone, but mainly just the ae86's n dan drifting.

will edit it up this weekend but cant put it up here til tuesday at work coz we only have crappy dial up available at home

thanks to White Knight for organising the day - shame i had to pass up my spot but if i havent blown up my new motor by the time the next mc day comes around then i am keen for sure!

ps dan had a blast!

haha and we now have proof for franz that they do cancel when the rain is coming down! (even if it was only the last 20mins or so )

I am well pissed off

Hi guys,

Well my birthday was on friday Yay for me. As a birthday present my 300 decided to give me a present.
About 6 kms from home i see the temp gauge go up. I stop and open the bonnet to see steam and coolant pissing everywhere. I get the wife to tow me home and after the birthday dinner my brother inlaw drags me down to the shed to see what the issue was.

2 hous later we find one of the pipes leading to the block from the upper radiator pipe housing, There is one pipe on each side. anyway right hand side was split. Spent another two hours driving around the servo's in mandurah looking forn some pipe to hack up and use.

no luck and the pipes on my ute were two big.

After nearly crying myself to sleep at around 2am, finally got to sleep.

I hope you all had a great day and please accept my appologies if my absence upset any organising etc..

I will be in for the next event whenever it happens.

I have spent all weekend in a very upset mood and my family are sick of me.

The one where i used it to snap midnite himself coming round the bottom corner... in the pics the wheels dont even look like they are moving (= damn good cam) but in reality they were spinning like fk

So even on the pics above where arsed are out, you can't really tell. You cant "feel" the movement.
Probably needed a diferent setting so any moving background would be blured, to give a better feeling of the movement and speed
