hey anyone kno a good place in bris where i can get a temp gauge? Carmate quoted 70 for the gauge and 60 for the T piece adapter... is that a good price?

Hmmm....sounds a bit cheap for a temp gauge...

I know you can get them for that price, but the quality and reading of the guage would probably be as accurate as the stock gauge. Better spending the money if you want to take this path.

    My 2 cents.

$70 is a good price for an a/m temperature gauge.....

assuming it's of decent quality, just make sure it's an electrical one. You don't want to be mucking around with a mechanical temp gauge no matter what price it is.

As for the adaptor pipe, I don't think they are such a good idea. It's another couple of hose clamps on your zed that you don't really need (isn't 186 clamps enough for you ?). Also at $60 it would be cheaper to do it properly in the first place (refer to tech article on fitting a/m temp gauge sender), I have no idea why you would want the standard temp gauge still connected anyway 'cause it's useless.

Sorry, can't help you with Qld suppliers but I'm sure some of the boys up there will be able to point you somewhere.

    Good luck with it.

No matter what gauge you buy.....>>

make sure that once you have it installed you hook up with a member who has a ConZult or datascan unit so you can check that the gauge is reading correctly.
