Will they be feeding a larger amount of fuel instantly or will they have the potential to feed more fuel after a tune? Main question is, exactly what changes after I simply swap my injectors? Can I put the new injectors in and then take the car for a run through the hills? Hope these questions make sense. Thanks
If you do not change the K and injector latency values in the ECU EPROM, I would be surpised if the engine even starts. The benefit of changing to larger injectors is to increase the amount of total fuel at maximum injector duty cycle which is required for air volumes that would previously take the stock injectors duty cycle to the max.
You need to get a chip written for the ecu with a Kvalue altered for the 650cc injectors. If you install them and drive off without the chip then your gonna have a rather bad overfueling problem...I think with 650's you'll come very close to not starting at all!! If you need a chip written to allow you to run 650's let me know and I can send one up, but generally it's time for a tune as well.
Ok That's exactly what I needed to know. Cause I'm about to get a new ecu this week so i'l definately wait till thats in and then i'l install the injectors and straight to the tune shop sheel go. Cheers
